The Kilian Jornet Foundation (KJF) and the It’s Great Out There Coalition (IGOT) will host a special edition of the initiative Running Minds on May 18, 2026, at 3pm, inviting participants of all levels to take part in a five-kilometer run along the shores of Lake Garda. The event is part of the European Outdoor Week and is scheduled during the Outdoor Trade Show in Riva del Garda (May 17-18-19).
What is Running Minds?
Running Minds is KJF’s distinctive initiative that uses running as a platform to connect people with environmental and social challenges. Through immersive experiences in nature, participants engage with experts, explore local issues, and reflect on how sports can bring about positive change. This edition marks the first collaboration between KJF and IGOT – a European association committed to promoting greater participation in outdoor activities and fostering a more inclusive, diverse, and responsible outdoor culture.

The experience at EOW
The event is open to everyone and is designed to create authentic dialogue between runners, experts, and industry professionals. Along the five-kilometer route, participants will stop for moments of reflection on topics such as inclusion, well-being, and environmental responsibility, guided by key voices in the outdoor world including representatives from KJF, IGOT, and the local mobility organization REMOOVE. Participants will also have the opportunity to test footwear NNormal during the run. The brand, co-founded by Kilian Jornet, donates 1% of its sales to support the activities of the Kilian Jornet Foundation.

The event is scheduled for Monday, May 18 at 3:00 PM, meeting point at the NNormal stand, via Baltera 20 in Riva del Garda.
