Ledro Sky Trentino enters the Golden Trail World Series

25 February 2026

The Garda Trentino is getting ready to experience a high-altitude May. Among panoramic ridges, turquoise lakes, and technical trails, the Trentino destination returns to the international trail running calendar with the return of the Ledro Sky Trentino, now officially part of the Golden Trail World Series circuit, and with a rich program that also includes the Garda Trentino Trail.

The beating heart of the event is the Valle di Ledro, an authentic hotspot for alpine trail running. After hosting the Gran Finale GTWS 2025, the Ledro Sky Trentino returns on May 24, 2026 with a new look and a renewed course.

The race will cover 21 km and 1,700 meters of positive elevation gain, starting and finishing in Pieve di Ledro.

The new course promises a show: ascent along Monte Cocca up to Bocca di Saval and then the famous Senter de le Greste, an iconic ridge that connects Cima Parì, Cima Sclapa, and Cima d’Oro, offering exposed sections and breathtaking views of Lake Ledro and the surrounding mountains.

The descent crosses the meadows of Dromaè and the Austro-Hungarian trenches of the Great War, before the final return along the Ledro Trek Low.

A novelty for 2026 is the Trofeo Damiano Gnuffi, a special prize for the fastest man and woman in the segment between Parì and Cima d’Oro. An award that adds further excitement to an already spectacular race.

Among the expected protagonists is Cesare Maestri, one of the best Italian performers in the discipline, ready to kick off his season in the world circuit right here.

The race will be broadcast globally on WBD platforms (HBO Max, Eurosport, discovery+, and TNT Sports), bringing images of the Valle di Ledro into the homes of mountain running enthusiasts around the world.

There is also room for young participants with the debut, on May 23, of the Mini Ledro Sky, an event dedicated to the little ones to introduce them to the world of mountain running in a unique natural setting.
