Mizuno records record revenues and profits in the first nine months of the fiscal year

17 February 2026

Mizuno closed the first nine months of the fiscal year with overall growth, marking new records in both revenues and operating profits. However, performance in the Americas was hindered by the impact of customs duties on sports goods imported from the United States, which reduced profit margins in the American market.

According to financial data as of December 31, the Japanese group recorded an increase in total sales of over 9% in the first nine months of the fiscal year, supported by strong demand in different geographical areas and widespread growth in product categories. Operating profit also showed a significant expansion compared to the same period last year, confirming a trend of general improvement.

However, in the Americas region, the picture is more complex. Sales in the region increased, but profits were eroded by the impact of customs duties imposed on sports product imports in the United States. These additional charges directly affected margins, with an increase in costs not fully offset by sales prices or volumes.

The duties, introduced as part of broader trade policies, have been one of the main factors putting pressure on American results, requiring Mizuno to adjust its pricing strategy and cost management in the US market.

Positive balance but commercial challenges on the international front

Overall, Mizuno can look with satisfaction at the results of the first nine months, with revenues and margins expanding compared to the previous year. Growth has been driven by a strong performance in Asian markets and in some European areas, where demand for technical clothing and footwear has shown signs of strength.

At the same time, the difficulties encountered in the Americas indicate how dynamics of duties and logistical costs can also be a hindrance for established international brands, especially in an evolving global competitive context.

According to industry observers, Mizuno’s ability to balance these factors in the coming quarters will be crucial to consolidate the growth trend for the entire fiscal year.
