Scott Sports has announced the appointment of Hsuan Boon Tan as co-ceo with immediate effect. The manager will work alongside current co-ceo Pascal Ducrot and will be based at the company’s global headquarters in Switzerland.

Scott Sports is controlled by the South Korean group Youngone Corporation, which acquired full control of the brand in 2025. Tan succeeds Juwon Kim, who is returning to South Korea to focus on Youngone’s Strategy and Investment division.

Juwon Kim had been appointed co-ceo with Ducrot in August 2024. Pascal Ducrot, who has been with the company for 35 years, will continue to serve as co-ceo alongside Tan. Both Kim and Tan will also maintain a seat on Scott’s board of directors, while Ducrot will also join the board.

Statements

“It has been a pleasure working with Juwon Kim during a period of profound transformation for Scott over the past two years. I am now delighted to collaborate with Hsuan Boon Tan, whose deep knowledge of the organization will support future growth and further strengthen the bond with our parent company Youngone”, stated Ducrot.

“It has been extremely rewarding to contribute to preparing Scott for its next phase of development. I am proud to have been able to observe closely the commitment and energy of colleagues around the world”, commented Kim.

“After over two years on Scott’s board of directors, I have always appreciated the team’s passion. Now that I operate from the headquarters in Switzerland, I can experience it daily. I look forward to working with Youngone and the entire Scott organization to build the company’s future, respecting its solid heritage”, added Tan.

Who is Hsuan Boon Tan, the new co-ceo

Hsuan Boon Tan brings with him a wealth of experience in corporate governance and commercial litigation, as well as a deep knowledge of both Youngone and Scott. Most recently, he held the role of head of legal and compliance at Youngone, following previous experiences in private legal consulting in Singapore.

A member of Scott’s board for two years, Tan played a key role in stabilizing the business after the challenges faced by the bike industry during and after the pandemic, helping to put the company back on a growth path.

His close ties to Youngone and experience in key shared strategic areas — apparel, footwear, and outdoor — will promote greater integration of Scott into the group’s global portfolio. According to the company, Tan’s international profile and strategic skills are a fundamental asset to support global expansion ambitions and lead Scott in the next phase of development.
