Salomon presents the Impact Report 2025: sustainability at the heart of the strategy

16 June 2026

On the occasion of the World Environment Day, Salomon presented the fourth edition of its Impact Report. The document tells the progress made in 2025 and the areas in which the brand intends to further accelerate its transformation, with the goal of integrating sustainability more deeply into its business activities. For Salomon, sustainability is no longer a parallel initiative, but a strategic necessity. By 2030, performance, sustainability, and resilience must proceed hand in hand, influencing every aspect of the organization: from product design to sourcing, from partnerships to corporate culture, to decision-making processes. “Sustainability must move from a marginal element to the core of how we operate. This means aligning business ambitions with the limits of the planet and the expectations of the communities we serve,” declares Guillaume Meyzenq, chief executive officer.

Salomon Impact Report 2025: key results

2025 represented a year of acceleration for Salomon. The company strengthened governance, improved impact measurement and management methods, and further integrated sustainability into daily activities. Highlighted results in the report include:

  • up to 40% of the eco-designed softgoods range, referring to developments SS26/FW26;
  • 100% of the main product categories analyzed through the Life Cycle Assessment system;
  • 86% of Tier 1 suppliers rated A or B according to social compliance standards;
  • over 90% of employees involved in sustainability challenge training programs;
  • more than 560,000 euros allocated to support mountain communities and professionals through the Salomon Foundation.

“The 2025 Salomon Impact Report reflects the collective commitment of teams globally. It tells the progress made in the past year and the challenges still open, with a clear focus on continuous improvement in measuring and managing our impact,” says Clémence Imbaud, sustainability PMO, reporting & strategy support lead.

Eco-design, circularity, and environmental impact reduction

Responsible innovation remains one of the main drivers to reduce environmental impact. In 2025, Salomon continued to scale eco-design on its products, supported by life cycle analysis, new design tools, and an increasingly close collaboration with partners. The brand also strengthened circularity initiatives, from repair services to recycling pilot projects, with the goal of extending product lifespan and reducing waste. The stated approach is to create high-performance items with a lower environmental impact.

People and communities at the center of transformation

According to Salomon, transformation also involves engaging people. Internally, the brand works to value teams, strengthen a culture of sustainability, and enable every employee to actively contribute to the transition. Externally, Salomon continues to promote a more inclusive and accessible mountain sport through the Salomon Foundation, collaboration with athletes, and an increasingly broad network of partnerships. In 2025, this commitment translated into the continuous development of innovative solutions and increased support for organizations committed to promoting diversity, education, and access to outdoor sports. From the Adaptive project to community engagement initiatives through the Foundation, the ambition is to generate a positive impact that goes beyond the product. “At Salomon, we believe that impact is built at every level and that everyone can contribute to change in their own way. Our role is to create conditions so that each individual can become an agent of positive impact for the future,” says Magali Clément, Chief People & Culture Officer.

Looking ahead: progress, collaboration, and circular models

Looking to the future, Salomon prioritizes scaling solutions that work, accelerating circular models, strengthening collaboration along the entire value chain, and integrating sustainability more deeply into the corporate strategy. “We are on a transformation journey. Change takes time, but we are determined to build a new future for our business, for the industry, and for the communities we are part of. It is a journey to reinvent our way of operating, and we want everyone to be part of it,” says Marie-Laure Piednoir, Global Sustainability & Impact Director. Founded in the heart of the French Alps, Salomon designs and develops products for the mountain sports lifestyle, including footwear, clothing, and equipment for winter sports. At the Annecy Design Center, designers, engineers, and athletes work together to explore new creative territories and shape the future of sports and its culture.
