Salomon and IRONMAN announce a new five-year partnership starting in 2027. The collaboration will be active globally and also includes Salomon becoming title partner of the IRONMAN World Championship 2027 in Kona, Hawaii.
“Athletes no longer define themselves through a single sport. They run on the road, compete in the mountains, engage in triathlons, and continuously seek new ways to challenge themselves. Endurance has become a lifestyle. For Salomon, joining forces with IRONMAN represents a natural step and an opportunity to bring our expertise in the world of sports performance to serve one of the most passionate and engaged endurance communities in the world,” commented Guillaume Meyzenq, President and CEO of Salomon. Starting in 2027, Salomon will become global premier partner of IRONMAN until 2031, with exclusive rights in the footwear, apparel, and technical bags categories within the IRONMAN ecosystem. The collaboration will also extend to the role of Title Partner and Presenting Partner of some of the most iconic IRONMAN events in the United States and Europe.
In all IRONMAN-owned events included in the partnership, Salomon will sign the IRONMAN Running Course, combining the brand’s growing experience in road running with the concluding discipline that characterizes long-distance triathlons. “IRONMAN and Salomon share the belief that endurance sports can help people express their potential. This partnership stems from the desire to put athletes at the center and support them in achieving ambitious goals. Salomon’s heritage, its experience in the performance world, product innovation, and philosophy built around the community make the brand a natural partner for IRONMAN. We are excited to work together to enhance the athlete experience within our community,” stated Scott DeRue, chief executive officer of The IRONMAN Group.
Athletes and Performance
Athletes will be at the center of this new chapter, along with Marjolaine Pierré, Julie Iemmolo, and Casper Stornes, who have already excelled at the highest levels of long-distance triathlon. Their experience will provide direct knowledge of the specific needs related to training, competition, and running after hours of effort, helping to guide Salomon’s approach to this discipline. In addition to product, Salomon will provide the partnership with its expertise in human performance. Through its “athlete-first” approach, the Service to Athlete platform, and the Performance Program led by sports scientist Aitor Viribay, the brand operates in the fields of biomechanics, training, nutrition, recovery, and athlete listening to help them maintain high performance levels for longer.
Road to Kona
During the IRONMAN World Championship 2026, the brand will be present for the first time in Kona with an experiential pop-up at Kona Heaven, from October 7th to 8th. Athletes, fans, and the community will have the opportunity to get up close with the Salomon world dedicated to performance and innovation, meet product experts, and endurance athletes Courtney Dauwalter and Jessie Diggins. “Becoming the Title Partner of the IRONMAN World Championship in Hawaii is both an honor and a responsibility. We approach this partnership with humility, ambition, and a long-term commitment. We want to contribute to its future by preserving everything that has made Kona an iconic place and creating lasting value for the athletes and communities that make endurance what it is,” says Guillaume Meyzenq, President and CEO of Salomon.
