Two years after the debut of the line, La Sportiva presents Prodigio 2, a direct evolution of a model that has managed to establish itself among athletes for its balance and versatility. The new version raises the bar even further in terms of cushioning, lightness, and stability, with the declared goal of offering consistent performance on every terrain and at all distances, up to ultras. Designed for Mountain Running and long distances, Prodigio 2 is born to guarantee the perfect balance between protection and responsiveness, maintaining comfort and control even as the kilometers accumulate.
Evolved cushioning with XFlow technology
The heart of the project is the XFlow midsole, made of recycled supercritical TPU and injected with nitrogen, a solution that increases the resistance and durability of the material without sacrificing energy return and softness under the foot. The same compound is also used in the 4mm footbed, amplifying the feeling of reactive cushioning step by step.
The result is a smooth and progressive run, capable of maintaining the same level of cushioning and response from the first to the last kilometer, both in training and in competition.
Precise fit and stability on every trail
The High Tenacity Mesh upper, combined with a 3D mesh lining, offers an effective balance between breathability, durability, and comfort. The ergonomic wrapping system helps keep the foot stable and well-centered on the platform, improving control even on the most technical sections.
Under the foot, the FriXion Red dual compound sole, now with 4mm lugs, ensures greater resistance in areas of higher wear, such as the heel, and maximum grip on the midfoot and forefoot, to tackle both smooth trails and more challenging sections with confidence.

Within the Prodigio Series, Prodigio 2 represents the natural evolution of the model launched in 2024, maintaining a common DNA of comfort, stability, and reliability.
