La Sportiva confirms its role as the main title sponsor of the Lavaredo Ultra Trail by UTMB circuit, the event that celebrates the most authentic identity of mountain running, scheduled in Cortina d’Ampezzo from June 24th to 28th. The bond between the Trentino company and this iconic event is based on a shared passion for the mountains, for sports, and the desire to create impactful experiences for runners from around the world. Over the years, this partnership has translated into a common path of growth and innovation, becoming the ideal showcase to validate cutting-edge solutions in close contact with elite athletes and enthusiasts, nurturing relationships with the community and anticipating the evolution of the discipline.
The heart of innovation: Prodigio Tech Hub
Cortina will not only be the race backdrop but also the product innovation center signed by La Sportiva. The Prodigio Series represented a real turning point for the brand in the world of mountain running, and today this performance story evolves with the new Prodigio 2, more reactive and stable than the first model introduced two years ago. From here comes the Prodigio Tech Hub: a space in the heart of Cortina designed to discover the details of the line for professionals and enthusiasts, offering the opportunity to test the Prodigio Pro, Prodigio Max, and Prodigio 2 models directly on the Dolomite trails thanks to numerous Test&Feel sessions.
Shared experiences with the community
In addition to test activities, La Sportiva’s presence in Cortina translates into a structured program of activations to connect runners and enthusiasts throughout the week. The days of Thursday, June 25th and Friday, June 26th will start with morning community runs departing from the La Sportiva Store, followed by educational workshops with nutrition and training experts. Furthermore, to encourage visits and interactions with the different event locations, this year La Sportiva introduces the Lavaredo Card, a special card that will reward those who visit all the brand touchpoints in the city with a gadget. The support for runners will extend along the race course and at high altitudes, with dedicated cheering areas at key points of Cimabanche and Col Gallina. After the races, the energy will shift to the After Race Party and the saturday night closing concert at the BAR La Sportiva, set up for the occasion at the Bar Caffè Sport in Cortina. To set the rhythm and energy of the event, La Sportiva Radio returns, the official web radio ready to accompany the audience directly from the center of Cortina with live updates, exclusive interviews, and curiosities from the world of mountain running.
An international elite team at the starting line
Representing La Sportiva in the race will be an international high-level team on all distances. On the 120K, the South Tyrolean Andreas Reiterer, Roberto Mastrotto, the Irish athlete Emma Stuart, and the American Maria Dalzot are expected. In the 80K distance, the spotlight will be on Giulia Marchesoni and Matthaus Zoeggeler, while the 50K race will see the start of Nadir Maguet, Alex Oberbacher, Diego Angella, Simone Eydallin, Lorenzo RotaMartir, and the Spanish Patricia Pineda. In the 20K, the bibs are entrusted to Andrea Rostan, Luca Pescollderung, Martina Falchetti, Isacco Costa, and Stefano Gardener. Furthermore, top athletes like Katie Wright and Nancy Jiang, although not participating in the competitions, will be present in the heart of the brand village to support their teammates and experience the event together with the entire community of runners. With a structured activation program and an elite team ready to start, La Sportiva is preparing to preside over Cortina with energy and a spirit of sharing.
