HOKA unveils the Clifton Pro in London: its most iconic trainer evolves into a performance shoe

16 June 2026

On the past 11th of June, London was the setting for the international presentation of the new HOKA Clifton Pro and Clifton 11, two models that mark an important step in the evolution of one of the brand’s most recognizable families. At the event, which we also attended at Running Magazine, the brand revealed the future of its most iconic trainer through two complementary interpretations: on one hand, a version more focused on performance, on the other, an update of the daily trainer designed for everyday comfort. With Clifton Pro, HOKA introduces a version more focused on performance of its most iconic trainer. The model is designed for runners looking for a dynamic training shoe, capable of supporting high volumes and fast paces, while maintaining protection and control. The main innovation is the PROGLIDE+ technology, a system that combines high-performance foams and natural geometries to promote a smoother transition and a more progressive push. The Clifton Pro uses a midsole with SCF foam and a more aggressive MetaRocker, designed to guide the foot forward and make the roll more efficient. The engineered mesh upper focuses on breathability and support, while the sleeker profile and durability-oriented construction position it as an evolved daily trainer, suitable for those who want to turn training consistency into a real competitive advantage. Alongside the new Pro, HOKA also presented the Clifton 11, a direct evolution of the most beloved model in the family. In this case, the goal is to strengthen what made the Clifton famous: a soft, stable, and accessible run, designed to accompany everyday miles. The new version introduces an updated engineered mesh upper, a more refined fit, and an even more comfortable insole, while maintaining the cushioned platform and smooth transition that characterize the model. The Clifton 11 confirms the Smooth MetaRocker geometry, the Active Foot Frame structure focused on the heel, and the compression EVA midsole, elements designed to offer natural stability, comfort, and continuity in the roll. Among the technical details are also reflective inserts, silicone 3D printing, double lace lock, and an abrasion-resistant rubber sole. Therefore, the two novelties cater to different needs: Clifton 11 remains the ideal companion for daily miles, with a soft and smooth setup, while Clifton Pro raises the bar towards a more performance-oriented dimension, designed for advanced runners and high-volume training.
