Hero Beat Run, in Milan the race that transforms sport into a message against bullying

26 June 2026

Not all races are about the stopwatch. Some tell something much more important, the strength of being together. On October 3rd, at Idroscalo in Milan, it will be transformed into the stage of the first edition of Hero Beat Run, the new fun run by DEICHMANN that chooses to focus not on competition, but on people. Five kilometers to be lived at your own pace, accompanied by music, interactive installations, and moments of sharing, with a clear objective: to shine a spotlight on bullying and cyberbullying through a language capable of truly speaking to the new generations.

At a time when episodes of exclusion, verbal violence, and online aggression continue to grow, sports return to be one of the most authentic tools to build relationships, create communities, and break down distances. Hero Beat Run is born from this belief. Running can become a symbolic gesture, a way to take a stand and remember that no one should feel left behind. The initiative represents the new social responsibility project of DEICHMANN, the largest footwear retailer in Europe, which has been investing in activities dedicated to young people and inclusion for years. It is no coincidence that the chosen format is that of a fun race: no rankings, no winner to crown, but a collective experience where the real goal is participation.

Along the five-kilometer route, participants will encounter four Fun Points, immersive spaces dedicated to play, reflection, and awareness on the themes of inclusion. The soundtrack will accompany every step to the Music Village, the final heart of the event, where sports and music will come together in a festive atmosphere of sharing. The event is primarily aimed at young people between 13 and 19 years old, while remaining open to families, groups of friends, and runners of all ages. For the first thousand registered participants, a Nike-signed Race Kit is provided, the main partner of the initiative, composed of a technical t-shirt, shorts, cap, and backpack.

Hero Beat Run is part of a path that DEICHMANN has been pursuing for some time. After the charitable project Playing for the Future, which in 2024 returned a completely redeveloped sports field with recycled materials to the Quarto Oggiaro community, the company strengthens its social commitment through a new event dedicated to young people and the value of inclusion. Alongside DEICHMANN will be the Libra ETS Foundation, a reality committed to preventing youth discomfort and combating bullying, cyberbullying, and gender-based violence. Through educational paths and the testimonies of its ambassadors, young people who have turned difficult experiences into tools of awareness, the foundation will give voice to real stories, demonstrating how sports, music, and art can become opportunities for redemption.

Even participation will have a concrete impact: part of the registration fee will be allocated to support the projects of the Libra ETS Foundation, turning every step into a contribution to a culture of respect. Because, sometimes, the most important race is not the one towards the finish line. It’s the one that brings us close to each other.
