ASICS presents Novablast 6: more energy and responsiveness for daily training

6 July 2026

ASICS presents the new Novablast 6, the latest evolution of one of its most popular running shoes. Known for its lightweight feel, responsive cushioning, and dynamism, the model is renewed with updates designed to improve energy return during running, comfort, and stride efficiency. The technical heart of the new Novablast 6 is represented by the introduction, for the first time in the footwear, of the “trampoline” pod in the forefoot with FF Turbo Squared foam. A technology already present in the MegaBlast and SonicBlast series, now also brought to this model with the aim of offering an even more elastic and responsive running sensation. Completing the cushioning system is the FF Blast MAX, designed to provide greater comfort and a softer feel under the foot. The combination of these two technologies creates a shoe designed for daily use, suitable for a wide variety of runners and workouts.

Updated Upper and Increased Grip During Push-Off

The innovations are not only in the midsole. The NOVABLAST 6 also introduces improvements in the upper and outsole. The ASICSGRIP rubber in the forefoot has been added to improve traction and make the push-off phase more efficient, working in synergy with the midsole to amplify the characteristic “trampoline” effect of the shoe. The engineered mesh upper has also been updated to offer greater breathability and a more adaptive and comfortable fit during everyday workouts. “With Novablast 6, we started from the energetic and elastic running sensation that defines the series, trying to take it to an even higher level”, stated Paul Lang, senior manager of global product, performance running footwear at ASICS. “Thanks to the introduction of new technologies like the FF TURBO SQUARED pod and further refinement of the shoe’s geometry, we have managed to create a model that is even more responsive, dynamic, and engaging”. The model also maintains the characteristic geometric design of the midsole, an element that helps strengthen the visual identity of the model within the ASICS running range.
